Dance and Wellbeing
This campaign highlights the intersection of dance and wellbeing and calls for policy changes that recognize and support dance's contributions to societal development.
Dance is increasingly recognised for contributing to wellbeing, healing and social cohesion. How can we ensure that the value of dance extends to those who create and sustain it?
We invite arts administrators, public funders and policymakers to consider how support structures can be aligned to nurture both the societal impact of dance and the wellbeing of the artists and organizations progressing it.
Working Conditions in Dance
EDN continues to advocate for dedicated spaces for dance. Access to dance facilities and social and professional support structures is crucial for providing better working conditions for artistic and administrative professionals in the dance sector.
A balanced ecosystem thrives when people work together, prioritise collaboration over isolation, ensure that every voice is acknowledged and respected, and when those in positions of authority use their influence to benefit the entire community.
Dance and Climate Change
Based on the findings of EDN's 2022 research publication, Environmental Sustainability in Contemporary Dance: Emerging Issues, Practices and Recommendations, the network's campaign presents concrete actions and ideas to engage the contemporary dance sector in Europe, its advocates, funders and stakeholders in a common movement towards a sustainable future.
