How to Join?

EDN gives priority to applications from organisations based in countries where the network is not yet present.

We always welcome expressions of interest in joining the network!

Is your organisation thinking about becoming a member of EDN? Before applying, check if there's already a member organisation in your city. If you'd like to join or have any questions, feel free to contact our coordination team.

When reviewing applications, the board of directors will consider how well the applying organisation aligns with the membership profile and current priorities, in order to maintain the network’s geographical balance.

Organisations interested in joining EDN are welcome to express their interest at any time throughout the year by contacting the EDN coordination team.

Once we receive your expression of interest, we’ll invite you to complete an application form and provide a few supporting materials:

– Your most recent activity report
– A short presentation video about your organisation
– Three recommendation letters from current EDN members based in countries other than your own.

To get to know your organisation better, the Board will propose an online meeting as part of the review process.

New members are admitted by the General Assembly, which meets twice a year—in January and June. If approved, your membership will be confirmed once the annual membership fee is paid.

What to expect?

In the application process, dance organisations will be invited to demonstrate the following points:

  • Agree with and contribute to the mission of EDN.
  • Demonstrate their interest in collaborating with international organisations by participating in EDN activities.
  • Demonstrate their motivation to work collectively towards more access, diversity, equity and inclusion in the dance field.
  • Promote more sustainable practices in the dance field and advocate for human, social, environmental, artistic and non-profit-seeking values.

Members’ commitment

All members understand that the more they engage with the network, the more benefits they get! They of course commit to the functioning of the association and its development.
