The Performing Arts Coalition (PAC), of which EDN is a founding member, has released a new policy paper addressing the evolving landscape of international collaboration in the performing arts.

The newly published paper provides policymakers and funders with an overview of key trends, challenges and needs shaping cross-border artistic cooperation today. It identifies the most pressing gaps in current funding systems and outlines the types of support required to ensure that international collaboration remains viable, equitable, and sustainable.

The document also offers forward-looking recommendations for reimagining and strengthening international collaboration in the performing arts in the realities of 2026.

PAC brings together five major European and international networks: ASSITEJ – International Association of Theatre and Performing Arts for Children and Young People, Circostrada – European Network for Contemporary Circus and Outdoor Arts, EDN – European Dance Development Network, EFA – European Festivals Association, and IETM – International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts. Collectively, the networks represent over a thousand organisations and professionals across more than 90 countries.
