Against Cuts in Independent Performing Arts
Dance is experiencing disproportionate and inequitable budget cuts across Europe.
MoreEDN Encounter and Perform Europe info session hosted by the Ice Hot Nordic Dance Platform at Dansens Hus Oslo
Ice Hot Nordic Dance Platform is a dynamic celebration of Nordic Dance, set against the picturesque backdrop of Oslo, Norway from February 14th to 17th, 2024. It serves as a biannual showcase, introducing both emerging talents and established names in the Nordic contemporary dance and choreography to presenters, programmers, and professionals from every corner of the world.
Ice Hot Nordic Dance is a collaboration network of partner organizations in five Nordic countries: Dance Info Finland, Dansehallerne (Denmark), Dansens Hus Oslo (Norway), Dansens Hus Stockholm (Sweden) and Performing Arts Iceland.
The EDN Encounter is an opportunity for dance organisations that are not (yet) members of the network to get to know EDN better and vice versa. The Encounter guests will join EDN members, the EDN office team and the many dance professionals at the Ice Hot Nordic Dance Platform, hosted by Dansens Hus Oslo between 14 and 17 February 2024. As part of the programme, EDN will be hosting an Encounter meeting on 15 February 2024 for all Encounter guests to meet and casually exchange with EDN members.
Meet us at Ice Hot where Eva Broberg, EDN Network Manager, and Ása Richardsdótttir, IETM Secretary General, co-host a Perform Europe seminar.
Perform Europe is an European funding scheme supporting sustainable, inclusive, balanced and innovative touring of performing arts works in the Creative Europe countries.
This info session will offer Ice Hot participants an opportunity to learn about the planned activities and the Perform Europe Open Call, which will grant € 2,1 million to a minimum of 35 touring partnerships. We'll introduce the new Perform Europe Matchmaking Tool and the Perform Europe Toolkit. Members of the Perform Europe consortium will lead the session and beneficiaries of the previous addition of Perform Europe (2020 – 2022) will share insights from their experience with the programme.
This session is intended for both those who are already planning a Perform Europe partnership application as well as those who have not yet started that process but are interested to know more.
