This programme is designed to support EDN members in their advocacy work and help strengthen the voice of dance at the local, regional, or national level.

By leveraging the European network's influence, we aim to enhance visibility, recognition, and legitimacy for the dance sector among public funders and key stakeholders.

Support is available for EDN members’ own advocacy actions that contribute to the broader interests of the dance sector.

Conditions

To be eligible for support, the activity should be clearly linked to an advocacy action that helps strengthen the dance sector within a member’s city, region, or country.

Here are some examples of projects that would fit the programme:

  • Translating, printing, and disseminating an article or a publication in your language for advocacy purposes.
  • Building or designing an advocacy campaign.
  • Supporting the mobility of European experts and the exchange of knowledge related to your advocacy action.
  • Inviting a member of the network, professionals and experts to your advocacy event.
  • Building or designing professional meetings with public policy makers.

Support amount

1000€

How to apply

The current call is open from 10 June to 30 October 2026 for advocacy actions in 2027.

Applicants are asked to provide a description of the need, a plan of the action, and a budget.

Distribution

Fourteen initiatives in total will be supported between 2025 and 2028, with the support distributed over the four years to back up members’ local advocacy actions.

Criteria

In cases where the number of applications exceeds the available initiative support, allocation will be based on the following criteria, in order of priority:

  • Even participation frequency among members
  • Balanced regional or geographical representation of participants
  • A limit of one support allocation per member organisation

Documentation

Please note that EDN will not be in direct contact with service providers or handle financial transactions related to your advocacy action.

We kindly request that each member cover the actual costs of the action in advance and then send an invoice to EDN, along with the relevant cost documentation.

Communication

In the event of support, the EDN and EU logos should be included in all communication materials related to your activity. Both logos are available here.
