Dance and the performing arts generate what appear to be ephemeral experiences. However, they tend to stay with our bodies long after the show is over.

  • What role does cultural mediation play in the way we experience dance?
  • What do mediation practices look like in dance?
  • And where are the audience and the youth in this conversation?

Condeduque invites professionals from the dance field and the general public to join this reflection on 12 and 13 December 2024, from 17:00 and 20:00 in Madrid.

Mediating the Ephemeral

12 - 13 December 2024

Condeduque, Madrid

MEDIAR LO EFÍMERO is a programme of activities within the framework of the Supernova Festival and Espace POM to reflect on dance and mediation from two contexts:

  • Condeduque, the contemporary culture centre in Madrid, Spain,
  • La Briqueterie, one of the fourteen National Centres for Choreographic Development (CDCN) in France.

The programme seeks to activate reflections and conversations from practice and participation, both with mediation professionals and the general public.

With the support of INAEM (from the Spanish Ministry of Culture) and our Spanish members, EDN is developing one-off activities to identify the specific needs of the sector and disseminate the network's activities and resources among artists and other dance professionals in Spain.
