History

Dansmakers Amsterdam started in 1993 as DansWerkplaats Amsterdam (DWA). From a dance laboratory, DWA developed into a dance production house. In 2011 the production house moved to an old industrial building in North Amsterdam by the IJ canal, which used to be the Stork factory and is now used for the creative industry.
