Call for doctorates to participate in a project focused on practice as research

ADiE, Artistic Doctorates in Europe: Third Cycle Provision in Dance and Performance, is a project aiming to develop the artistic doctorate research in the area of dance and performance. This EU-funded investigation examines the research emerging through artistic practice (Practice as Research) in processes focusing on movement and body.

In order to gather perceptions of doctorates pursued through creative practice in dance or performance, the project is looking for:

– PhD candidates in Dance or Performance
– Doctors who completed a PhD including Practice in the last 5 years or so
– Supervisors or advisors of Doctoral Candidates in Practice as Research
– Funders, producers or promoters of Dance and Performance

Deadline to participate: 1st April 2017

The project is led by Middlesex University (London) and involves Chichester University, Stockholm University of the Arts, Uniarts Helsinki and leading dance and performance organisations Zodiak – Center for New Dance (Helsinki), Kiasma Theatre (Helsinki), WELD (Stockholm) and Dance4 (Nottingham).
