New dancehouse building for Dansehallerne Copenhagen

Dansehallerne, member of EDN and one of the Northern Europe’s large forums for contemporary dance, has been housed since 2008 at Carlsberg’s old mineral water factory in the Carlsberg City District. As the building is going to be converted to homes, offices and shops, an agreement has been made between the Carlsberg City District and Dansehallerne to secure that the dancehouse can stay in the area with a new location in the listed building Kedelhallen.

Kedelhallen is one of the strongest contemporary examples of functional industrial architecture. Is approximately 4.500 square meters spread out on two floors with the entrance at the ground level and a highceilinged arch hall on the second floor.
