Julidans is looking for emerging choreographers who are interested in taking part in the Julidans Artists’ Lab 2016-17. This particular project offers a creative, supportive and fluide space where a new generation of choreographers and dance artists can develop themselves. The Artists’ Lab is divided into two phases spread out over two editions of this festival for international contemporary dance in Amsterdam (2016 and 2017) within the time frame of a year.
The artists should have two to five years of work experience and currently be in the early stages of creating their own work in the field of contemporary dance, dance theatre or physical theatre. They should have completed art education, affinity with the performances presented in Julidans and a clear interest to collaborate with others.
The professionals interested should send a motivation letter, a resume and some footage of their work before January 18, 2016.
Julidans is also launching a call for possible partners. It is inviting institutions in the field not only to recommend one resident choreographer as a candidate for the Artists’ Lab, but also to participate as partners offering support to artists during the second phase of the Lab and to function as an “outside eye”.
