Dance professionals (choreographers, dancers, managers, programmers…) are invited to join a new mapping workshop in the framework of the projet “The Hundred” that EDN organises in Budapest together with the participation of IETM and Trafo. The workshop will take place on the 9th November from 10am to 1pm at TRAFO offices.
“The Hundred” is a research project aimed to create a list of 100 dance resources (festivals, spaces that support choreographic development, networks…) that will act as a guiding framework for artists and professionals and help better undertand the dance ecology in Europe.
The methodology of building “The Hundred” is participative and collaborative. Several workshops are being organised within the context of dance festivals and gatherings between August and December 2015. A team of curators are leading these workshops with the participation of artists, touring managers, programmers and other professionals in order to have different points of view and sources of knowledge. The information collected at each workshop is subsequently analysed for inclusion in a final document which will carry name, contact details and a description of what are the main missions and areas of interest of each entry. The results of the research will be published on an open source.
